Essence of Dreams owners Tim, Tracey, and Jason had the incredible honor of being featured on HGTV’s #1 show, My Lottery Dream Home — hosted by HGTV star David Bromstad. Film occurred during August 2025 and the episode is the first time the show has gone into Costa Rica, capturing the beauty of the this tropical paradise.
According to the HGTV production team, the Essence of Dreams episode featured one of the most stunning and most expensive properties ever filmed on My Lottery Dream Home. Several producers and crew members described it as one of their favorite episodes to date — visually breathtaking and full of heart.
Meeting David Bromstad was an unforgettable experience. He is exactly as genuine, funny, and kind as he appears on television. Filming took place over four full days (seven hours each), packed with laughter, local adventures, and great conversation. David and Tracey connected over recipes and cooking, while sharing stories about his own renovations in Orlando.
The final day of filming was held at Essence of Dreams, where we hosted the entire HGTV film crew for breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon swim followed by sunset cocktails. The team expressed how grateful they were to film in such a stunning Costa Rican location — surrounded by panoramic mountain and ocean views.
The episode is scheduled to be released on January 16th, 2026
Essence of Dreams is to be featured on the 3-time Emmy® Award–winning travel TV series Staycation.
Filmed in a single day, the experience was nothing short of cinematic. The production team called Essence of Dreams “one of the most detailed and thoughtfully designed Costa Rica villas we’ve ever filmed.” From the sweeping mountaintop vantage to handcrafted finishes and curated spaces—every corner told a story. The episode will air in February 2026 on CBS, the Destination Channel, and streamed worldwide.
